A Competency Element is an element or sub-discipline where each is individually necessary and the collective are sufficient to describe the totality of an Asset Management Discipline.

There are 22 Competency Elements derived from the 8 Disciplines. Within each Competency Element there are a set of related Competency Sets and Competency Units.
